RSSI’s alpha track radon detectors have been optimized to be the best performing detectors available. Use RSSI’s detectors to measure radon concentration and learn if you should take action to lower it. Radon concentrations, like temperature, vary with the time of day, the season, weather conditions, and location. For the best indicator of the average radon concentration, the test should be for as long as possible, up to a year. RSSI’s alpha-track detectors do not require closed house conditions and are not affected by heat, humidity, or shipping delays.
RSSI alpha-track radon detectors
Testing your home for radon is easy, inexpensive, accurate, and reliable. RSSI manufactures and analyzes the most accurate alpha-track radon gas detectors available.
The US Environmental Protection Agency classifies radon detectors as short term for under 90 days, or long term for 91 days or more. RSSI offers 3 types of radon tests:
- RSSI Alpha-track Long Term AT-102
- RSSI Alpha-track Short Term AT-101
- AirChek Charcoal Test
RSSI’s Long Term Detector AT-102
RSSI’s long term test is the ideal choice for measurements between 91 days and a year. The long term test may be used for periods as short as 30 days.
RSSI’s Short Term Detector AT-101
RSSI’s short term test is designed for measurements between 1 to 3 months. This test may be used for up to a year. It may also be used for tests between 12 to 30 days when expedited return shipping is used.
AirChekCharcoal Test
RSSI sells the AirChek brand Charcoal test for use from 3 to 7 days when rapid tests are required. Elevated results from this test should be confirmed by RSSI’s long-term or short- term radon detector before a mitigation decision is made.
